[Pokayoke Example] Prevention of forgetting to insert clips using a hand press machine
Achieving poka-yoke for manufacturing tasks by machines (clip insertion work using a hand press) in a short period and at low cost.
We received a request from a plastic manufacturer stating, "We have a production process where we use a hand press machine to insert clips into molded plastic products, and we would like to implement a poka-yoke (error-proofing) system to prevent forgetting to insert the clips." By creating a system where the clip tool attached to the hand press machine sends a wireless signal when pressed, we have achieved management of the clip insertion process. 【Details】 - We developed a dedicated fixture that can be attached to the hand press machine by repurposing the mechanism of the Check Pen S ("main unit" + "pipe"). - We custom-manufactured a "pipe" that fits the shape of the clip tool. - We adjusted the spring of the "main unit" so that it sends a wireless signal based on the pressing force when inserting the clip with the hand press machine. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
